Job Description:
At Wipro Technologies as a software engineer you will be

responsible for support, development and enhancement of

automated batch process written using Sybase and UNIX. You will

have to do support of replicated Sybase environment and

investigation/ solution of any of the issues that may occur.

Job Duties:
Your responsibility will include database development of new

stored procedures to support new application functionality. You

will also have to do UNIX development of new batch jobs and

enhancing existing batch jobs.
You will also have to contribute to the technical code

documentation.

Skills:

* Wipro Technologies is looking for candidates with experience

in Sybase development in UNIX environment.
* Candidate should posses excellent knowledge in SQL, stored

procedures, triggers, views.
* Candidate should posses excellent knowledge of UNIX shell

scripting or Perl scripting.
* Knowledge of ETL is preferred.
* Excellent communication skill (written and verbal) is

mandatory for this requirement.
* Knowledge of financial industry and SDLC practices will be

an added advantage.
